Retire in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Pisces Fleet has been established in Cabo San Lucas for the past 26 years and is known for its consistency in catch rates and customer satisfaction. We promote the conservation of billfish (marlin, sailfish and swordfish). Pisces has been recognized on numerous occasions by the Billfish Foundation, for releasing the most striped marlin, throughout the year on a worldwide basis, as well as receiving the Group Achievement Award in 1993. In 1995 Pisces Fleet was honored by the International Game Fish Association (worldwide governing body of fishing records), with the Conservation Award.

This is the story of my move to Cabo San Lucas, from my very first trip in December of 1993 to today. I share stories of my travels and thoughts from the very beginning when I was just a tourist with a visa card to buying a vacation property to becoming a full-time resident in 2004.

Over the years many friends have visited, so many that a gathering of all those connected to Cindy & myself is in the works for 2012. Over 150 people are on the list; if you want to join us, book a trip soon and you’ll be invited for sure!

I landed in San Jose del Cabo on an evening of a full moon, and I was awestruck… it was the fullest, brightest, biggest moon I had ever seen. 

Two days later, I drove down to Cabo San Lucas and coming down the hill, looking out at Cabo Bay and El Arco, I said to myself, “This is the place where I will live until I go to heaven.”

I was only here on vacation, but one week later I began working at the Melia San Lucas Hotel on Medano beach.

It was love at first sight, and nearly 20 years later I am still here, and still in love with the entire Los Cabos area.

And, I stayed because of the the weather, duh!!
